Design a professional and unique company logo in minutes using Recraft AI's powerful generative design tools.

Recraft is a powerful, all-in-one platform that simplifies rebranding, image generation, and graphic design for creators and businesses. So you’d naturally ask what it's all about and how it's different from using ChatGPT. Let’s say you are launching a new venture or building a strong brand identity and want to save a couple of hundred dollars on logo designing, mood boards, and other branding visuals. Instead of fine-tuning ChatGPT to design a logo for your company, you can use Recraft’s intuitive tools and AI-powered features to help you produce high-quality visuals in less time.

As you’d have guessed by now, this tutorial explores how to harness Recraft's capabilities to design a standout company logo, combining creativity and efficiency in just a few clicks.

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to:

  • Access Recraft AI
  • Select your logo style and model
  • Describe your logo
  • Edit and refine the logo
  • Save and export the logo

Let’s dive in right away!

Step 1 - Access Recraft AI

Head over to the Recraft website. After signing in, you’ll be given 50 credits to create 25 images or modifications. Each new design usually costs about two credits, and edits might use a few more depending on what you change.

Once on the Recraft homepage, click ‘Create new project.’

Navigate to the main ribbon, where you'll see options for creating various types of visual content, such as frames, mockups, and images. Select "Image" to get started with logo design.

Step 2 - Select your logo style and model

After clicking the image icon, you’ll see a simple interface with a floating toolbar on the left. Click the ‘Recraft V3 Raw’ button under the image.

Recraft offers a bunch of different art styles and image models to choose from. For logos, go with the “Vector Art” model—perfect for clean, scalable designs. But if you're in the mood to experiment, you can also try out styles like “Photo Realism” or “Illustration” for a different look. Click ‘Apply’ within the Vector Art icon.

You will be taken to a blank document. Flex your brain muscles. It’s time to design the logo for your next big venture.

Step 3 - Describe your logo

Let’s start with crafting a prompt. In the prompt box, type a quick description of your desired logo. Let’s say, "A logo for a customer service AI assistant.”

You can also tweak the aspect ratio if you need a specific size or layout.

You can also customize the colors. The primary color palette can be picked or adjusted. Click the color palette icon next to the settings.

Also, remember to turn on the ‘Style diversity’ option. This will give the AI model more room to experiment.

Once you've got everything set, just hit “ReCraft” and your logo will be generated.

Step 4 - Edit and refine the logo

Once your logo is ready, Recraft will show you two versions to choose from. Pick the one that feels right for your brand. Then, you can dive into editing.

Color Adjustments

Try out different color palettes to match your brand's vibe.

Element Tweaks: Just double-click on parts of the logo to fine-tune them. Say your logo has a mascot— you can change its background, accessories, or whatever else you'd like.

Variate Features: Use the variate tool. Select the area you want to change and type what you'd like. Try out different color palettes to match your brand's vibe.

Element Tweaks: You can fine-tune parts of the logo by double-clicking on them. For example, if your logo has a mascot, you can change its background, accessories, or whatever else you'd like.

It will change colors and the orientation of the image. You must experiment with the prompt and the color palette.

The key is to use the color palette and the prompts. It all depends on how good your prompt is. Also, the free account doesn’t give you much control, like you cannot use artistic levels, the number of images, or the extract prompt feature.

Quick Tip: If you're testing different styles, note your favorites or sources of inspiration beforehand.

Step 5 - Save and export the logo.

Once you're happy with your design, download it directly from ReCraft. You can also apply it to mockups to see how it looks on items like coffee cups or business cards.

Click the ‘Export’ button and select the preferred file type. It will download the image automatically.

That’s it for this tutorial. Experimenting with prompts and the editing features is the key to generating a fantastic logo. Find your inspiration and experiment with the styles and colors to get exactly what you want for your brand.
