Craft visually engaging slides with Manus by blending clean design principles, and dynamic visuals for maximum audience impact.

The first question that might pop into your mind is, ‘Why should I use Manus for slides when there are better AI presentation options out there?’ There is the Gamma app, and then every other AI chatbot can whip up good presentations in seconds rather than minutes. So what’s different with Manus, you might ask.

First thing, Manus is not your average AI chatbot. It’s an AI agent that doesn’t live to execute a prompt. It produces the entire thing without additional inputs from the user. Let’s say you want to create a report on the productivity for remote teams based on loose documents, scattered spreadsheets, emails, and other things. Attach all relevant materials and instruct Manus to create a comprehensive report with graphs, charts, tables, and other visual representations. Then, convert it into a slide deck with morphing transitions. Manus might take a few minutes, but it will save you countless hours you might spend in front of a computer screen!

This tutorial shows you exactly what you require: an automated way to create visually engaging slide decks from a loose set of documents.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to:

  • Plan your content
  • Write a comprehensive prompt
  • Choose a colour scheme, typography, and other visuals
  • Review and refine

Let’s get right into it!

Step 1 - Plan your content

The first step is to gather all relevant documents, spreadsheets, emails, and other pertinent content. Do not worry about organizing them. Let Manus handle it. It doesn’t matter which topic you are targeting. As long as you have related documents, Manus will create a fantastic slide deck for you.

Next, access Manus. Sign into an account or create a new one.

Attach documents using the attach feature. In our example, we are creating an engaging visual slide deck for productivity SOPs for remote teams.

You can specify voice memos, videos, web links and any other content that might help Manus create a comprehensive and engaging slide deck.

Step 2 - Write a comprehensive prompt

Now that you have attached relevant documents, and a voice memo. It’s time to write a super-focused prompt that will help you create a slide deck. Use the following prompt as an inspiration. Of course, you can modify it to suit your project.

Prompt:

Create a presentation titled {Insert a title for the presentation here}. Organize the information in the attached files and create a comprehensive {describe the purpose of the presentation}that:

- Presents the SOP clearly and concisely
- Visualizes the productivity schedule and task prioritization data
- Highlights key problems (from the emails) and suggests best practices
- Ends with practical tips (voice memo summary) and a call to action
- Include images in every slide.
- The image should blend with the design

Do not execute the prompt just yet. We have a lot of other information to give to Manus.

Before clicking the ‘Send’ button, let’s add ‘Knowledge’ for the Manus to use. The knowledge is like a system prompt. It allows Manus to see the required steps it needs to do while executing the prompt. Click the ‘light bulb’ icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. In the ensuing dialog, click ‘Add knowledge.’

Specify the name of the knowledge. Instruct Manus when to use the knowledge and provide some explanation about the task. Click ‘Save’ once you are done.

Let’s get back to our prompt. Specify the slide structure for your presentation. Add it the previous prompt.

Prompt:

Title Slide
Title + Subtitle + Your logo/branding
Background image showing a remote team or modern workspace
Agenda Slide
Bullet points of what the presentation will cover
Why Productivity SOPs Matter in Remote Teams
Key challenges faced by remote teams
Importance of standardisation

Overview of the SOP
Clear bullet points summarising the SOP document
Daily & Weekly Productivity Schedule
Import schedule data and turn into a visual calendar, table, or timeline
Highlight time blocks for deep work, quick wins, breaks, meetings
Quick vs Important Tasks: Data Analysis
Import spreadsheet and display as:
Bar/stacked chart of time distribution
Pie chart for task type ratio
Brief analysis: Are we spending enough time on important tasks?
Productivity Challenges from the Field (Emails)
Quote 1-2 examples from email text
Highlight issues and their root causes
Add a box with “SOP Fix” showing how the SOP resolves them
Pro Tips for Productivity (from voice memo)
4–5 key tips displayed with icons or photos

Summarize what’s said in the voice memo if present
Conclusion / Next Steps
Recap the framework

Action steps or how to roll out the SOP
Optional: include a link or QR code to download the full SOP
Thank You / Q&A Slide

Step 3 - Choose a colour scheme, typography, and other visuals

The last part of the prompt gives you control over what Manus creates. Provide details about the colour scheme, typography and other visual aids. This helps AI create the exact slide deck you require. You can specify a style guide that your organization prefers.

Important tip: Add the style guide to the prompt you have pasted in the chat box. Do not click ‘Send’ just yet. Add the style guide first.

Prompt:

STYLE GUIDE

- Color Palette: Use a modern color scheme based on purple, shades of purple, blue, and related complementary tones
- Fonts: Clean and professional (e.g., Inter, Montserrat, Lato)
- Layout: Bold headers, clear bullet points, and well-spaced sections
- Images: Use relevant illustrations or stock photos that convey remote work, productivity, and collaboration
- Visual Elements: Include animated icons, charts, tables, and infographics wherever it improves understanding (especially for spreadsheet data)

Review the entire prompt, make changes and finalize it before hitting the ‘Send’ button.

Manus will take a few minutes to gather all the documents, organize them and create a presentation slide deck for you.

Here’s the final slide deck. It came out wonderfully good. You can always ask Manus to change the colours, layout or any other design element.

Step 4 - Review and refine

Before, downloading the document in a PPT or a PDF format, review the details. Add or delete elements you didn’t like. Click the ‘Edit’ button at the top of the generated slide deck panel.

Edit the written text. You can also add or delete sections.

If you don’t like the layout and the color scheme of the slide deck, you can attach an example of a presentation layout and color scheme that you like and instruct manus to design the slide deck according to it.

Once you’ve finalized the design and the layout, preview the slides by clicking the three dots icon at the top of the display panel and click ‘Preview.’

To save the presentation, hover the pointer over the download icon and select whether you want to download the presentation in PPT or PDF.

You can also save it to your Google Drive or convert it into Google Slides.

That’s it for this tutorial, folks. Remember to proof your slides and edit the layout and design elements by prompting Manus for the changes. If you don’t like the design, you can attach a design sample or a PPT and ask Manus to follow the design elements of the sample document.
